For today's guitar lick we look at a solo in the key of D that switches between major and minor scales.
The chord progression are pretty quick changes from G to D to A and then a chromatic run up the fretboard from B5 to C5 and ending on a D5 power chord. In the solo version these are played as octaves.
The video covers the music as played in the guitar tab and then presents a few variations on the music as written. In the tab the guitar starts around a triplet based pattern using the D Minor Pentatonic Scale. Then notes from the D Dorian scale are added. The scale switches to a major for the legato run and ends with the octave walk up the fretboard.
