The guitar lick begins with a DMin7 arpeggio and draw on notes from the C Major Scale. When you get the feel for this lick and get it under your fingers try expanding it by using other arpeggio shapes within the C Major scale and see what you can create. Arpeggios provide a great spring board for other ideas on the guitar.
