Today's guitar lick continue to use some legato phrasing against the backing track we've been using for the last few examples. I think the best examples of this style of playing are from modern rock virtuoso guitarists like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. This is a much more intermediate level example and if you find this a bit too basic for your liking I'd recommend the two players above for some more challenging and professional level ideas.
