Today's guitar lick was inspired by Frank Zappa's playing and musicianship and composition in general. To my ears Frank Zappa was rhythmically very vocal. His rhythms really seem like a conversation to me and that is what I tried to convey in my simple lick today. The guitar is tuned down a half step if you want to play along. This is a chromatic lick that uses a repetative musical phrase to try and establish a rhythmic statement to emmulate someone speaking. Do yourself a favor and check out his amazing catalog of music.
